BECKLEY, W.Va. — One of southern West Virginia’s most beloved summer traditions is returning to the heart of Beckley. City officials and the Bill Withers Committee have announced that the 6th Annual Bill Withers Festival will take place Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Bill Withers Plaza atop the Beckley Intermodal Gateway.
The festival honors the life and legacy of Grammy Award–winning singer‑songwriter Bill Withers, a Raleigh County native whose iconic hits — including Lean on Me, Ain’t No Sunshine, and Lovely Day — continue to resonate across generations and around the world.
This year’s event will feature an evening of live performances from The Heavy Hitters, Lady D & Mission, and the Jordan Dyer Trio. Adding a personal touch to the celebration, The Redd’s, longtime friends of Withers, will make a special appearance. DJ Brian Nabors will round out the entertainment lineup with a festival‑closing set.
Over the years, the Bill Withers Festival has grown into a signature regional event, drawing families, music lovers, and visitors to downtown Beckley for an evening of community pride, culture, and celebration.
Festival updates, admission details, and additional information are available at Beckley.Events and on Facebook at @beckleyevents.
