The Student Government Association (SGA) is an organization at West Virginia University Institute of Technology that is the voice and support for all students. SGA works with all campus organizations to support them in planning and budgeting their events. SGA appoints student representatives to serve on most faculty committees that deal with various aspects of campus life. The aspects include publications, activities, discipline, financial aid, academic affairs, athletics, and alumni activities.

I am a senior graduating in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Investigation. I graduated from Shady Spring High School in May 2022 and went to WVU Tech to study psychology until I realized it wasn’t the right fit for me. In high school, I kept to myself and didn’t participate in student government or other clubs and organizations.
