Andrew Wheeler – Episode 9, Part 2

Andrew Wheeler, Associate Professor of Forensic Investigation, WVU Tech, part two

Andrew Wheeler returns to Our Communiversity Today for a second conversation with Dr. T. Ramon Stuart. With more than 30 years of experience in civil and criminal investigations, Professor Wheeler brings real-world knowledge and expertise into the classroom and beyond.

WVU Tech’s forensic investigation program is designed to prepare students as forensic generalists with a broad foundation of knowledge and strong critical inquiry skills. Rather than focusing on only one forensic specialty, the program helps students build the kind of versatile skill set that can translate into a variety of careers in forensic science, investigation, and related fields.

Professor Wheeler holds a master’s degree in Forensic Science from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He also provides consultation services for numerous criminal cases each year and is recognized for his expertise in bloodstain pattern analysis, cyber investigations, firearms examination, and fingerprint techniques. His research interests include staged crime scenes and how they influence investigator perceptions, and he specializes in acquiring and analyzing difficult-to-obtain information to support effective decision-making in investigative work.
