Andrew Wheeler
Associate Professor of Forensic Investigation, WVU Tech
Andrew Wheeler is an Associate Professor of Forensic Investigation at West Virginia University Institute of Technology. With more than 30 years of experience in civil and criminal investigations, Professor Wheeler brings real-world knowledge and expertise into the classroom and beyond.

Professor Wheeler holds a master’s degree in Forensic Science from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He also provides consultation services for numerous criminal cases each year and is recognized for his expertise in bloodstain pattern analysis, cyber investigations, firearms examination, and fingerprint techniques.
His research interests include staged crime scenes and how they influence investigator perceptions. He specializes in acquiring and analyzing difficult-to-obtain information to help support effective decision-making in investigative work.
