CHARLESTON, W.Va. – U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) today issued a video message celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. ahead of the holiday honoring him on Monday, January 15th.

“When Dr. King visited Charleston 64 years ago this month, his message, principles, and display of courage in the face of discrimination inspired countless individuals in our state.

“His tireless advocacy for justice and equality transformed and inspired our entire nation for the better, and still motivates all of us today.

“Every day, we have the opportunity to continue Dr. King’s legacy by working towards a more perfect union— to come together to preserve and expand the American Dream for West Virginians and all Americans.
