Eric Cravey, Regional Editor for the Register-Herald Newspaper
The Register-Herald is a five-day morning newspaper that is published in Beckley, West
Virginia. We publish five days a week —Tuesday through Saturday and cover the areas of
Raleigh, Fayette, Greenbrier, Wyoming and Summers counties in West Virginia.
The newspaper’s history dates back to 1880 when the Raleigh County Index was established by
Beckley merchant Edwin Prince.
During the course of my career, I have mentored young journalists
who have advanced in their careers ranging from law to public relations to other facets of
journalism. Also in that time, I have won awards for news writing and opinion writing as well as
led teams on various special projects
