Fayette County, WV – Paint Creek Road, County Route 23, will
be temporarily closed to through traffic for repairs to the railroad
crossing in the Town of Pax on October 23, 2025. The closure
will begin at 8:00am and will remain in place until repairs are
completed. Local traffic will have access to all properties along
Paint Creek Road via Packs Branch Road, Fayette County Route
27 and Maple Fork Road/Sweeneysburg Road, Raleigh County
Route 1.
Motorists are asked to observe all traffic control signs and are
encouraged to use alternate routes around the work zone.
Kanawha River Railroad expresses their apologies for the
inconvenience this may cause motorists traveling through the
area.
