Guns ‘N Hoses to Launch First Annual Police vs. Fire Benefit Softball Tournament

BECKLEY, W.Va. — Raleigh County Parks & Recreation Authority has announced the first annual Guns ‘N Hoses Police vs. Fire Benefit Softball Tournament, set for Saturday, May 2 at Fitzpatrick Park.
The event will feature the traditional Police vs. Fire matchup as the day’s main attraction, highlighting community support and charitable giving. Proceeds from the tournament will be donated to non‑profit organizations selected by the participating teams.
In addition to the headline game, the event will include an open‑to‑the‑public Banana Ball tournament, a fast‑paced, fan‑focused version of softball. Community teams are invited to register, with a $200 entry fee per team.
The tournament will be held at Fitzpatrick Park, located at 896 Fitzpatrick Road in Beckley. Organizers encourage first responders and community members to register early, as space is limited.
