Lake Stephens Confirms 2026 Boat Slip Renewals; No Public Reservation Day Planned

BECKLEY, WV – The Raleigh County Parks and Recreation Authority (RCPRA) has announced that all seasonal boat slips at Lake Stephens have been renewed for the 2026 summer season, eliminating the need for a public reservation day this year.

While long‑term seasonal slips are fully booked, Lake Stephens will continue offering nightly and short‑term slip rentals for visitors. Guests may reserve a slip for up to 14 consecutive days, but must vacate for at least one week before booking another stay. If a slip remains unrented at the end of a reservation, guests may request a one‑week extension, which must be processed through the main office rather than the marina.

Reservations are now open, and interested boaters can contact the main office at 304‑934‑5323 ext. 6.

RCPRA also maintains an active waiting list for seasonal slips. If a cancellation occurs, names will be selected from the list; however, individuals will be removed if they cannot be reached after an attempted contact.

Long‑term campsites at Lake Stephens are also fully booked for 2026, but short‑term campsites, cabin rentals, and event spaces remain available. A full list of rates can be found at raleighcountyparks.gov/rates/#lake-stephens-rates
