Lauren Seiler, Executive Director for Development, Schools & Units, West Virginia University and the WVU Foundation
The WVU Foundation advances the mission of West Virginia University by connecting private support with the people, programs, and priorities that move West Virginia forward. As the fundraising and philanthropic arm of the university, the Foundation helps donors invest in student success, research, and community impact across the WVU system.
At WVU Tech, that mission comes to life in a focused and personal way. With a strong emphasis on engineering, technology, and career-ready education, WVU Tech plays a critical role in preparing students for high-demand fields while serving as an economic driver for southern West Virginia.
In her role as Executive Director of Development, Lauren focuses on building relationships with alumni, corporate partners, and friends of the university to align their philanthropic interests with opportunities at WVU Tech and across WVU. This work supports scholarships, academic programs, and strategic initiatives that ensure students have access to the resources and experiences they need to succeed both during their time on campus and beyond.
Current priorities include the WVU Tech Golden Bear Association Alumni Golf Outing on May 29 at Glade Springs, which brings together alumni and industry partners for a day of connection and philanthropy supporting student programs, athletics, and key campus initiatives. WVU is also recruiting a Director of Development dedicated to WVU Tech, a role based in Beckley that will help strengthen and grow relationships in the region.
