Competition will bring together West Virginia officials and students from Fairmont State University, Marshall University, University of Charleston and West Virginia University to promote cyber education and careers
(Reston, Va.) March 31, 2023 – Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), a FORTUNE® 500 science and technology leader, announced it will host a cybersecurity competition for West Virginia Universities on April 3-4, 2023 in Fairmont, West Virginia.
The two-day competition will bring together West Virginia officials and students from cyber programs at Fairmont State University, Marshall University, the University of Charleston and West Virginia University to showcase their cyber talent. The event will pit university cyber programs against each other to compete in a simulated cyber network focused on mitigating real-world threat scenarios. The competition will provide participating students with a valuable experience to incorporate into their studies and future careers in cybersecurity.
The competition will take place virtually for students while Leidos staff administer the event in-person. Staff from Congresswoman Carol Miller’s (WV-01) Office will attend the event on-site while staff from Senator Joe Manchin’s Office (WV) will plan to gather virtually.
