Miner Seriously Injured in Underground Accident at Cameron Portal

Marshall County, WV- A miner was seriously injured Tuesday at the ACNR Cameron Portal operation in Marshall County. According to initial reports, the worker suffered significant injuries from the waist down after an underground incident shortly before noon. Mine rescue teams and coworkers worked for roughly 40 minutes to bring the miner to the surface, where EMS and air medical crews were standing by.
