Pastor Virginia Pryor Jefferson, Longtime WWNR Host, Passes Away at 78

BECKLEY, W.Va. — Pastor Virginia Pryor Jefferson, a beloved voice on WWNR for more than two decades through her program The Faith Builders Radio Ministry, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. She was 78.
Jefferson was known throughout Beckley and beyond as a devoted servant of God, a cherished mother, and a guiding presence in the community. Her ministry touched countless lives with messages of faith, compassion, and encouragement. In recent years, her daughter Elicia and her brother David joined her in continuing the ministry’s legacy.
Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Heart of God Ministries, 1703 S. Kanawha Street in Beckley. Family hour will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by the service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Greenwood Park Cemetery.
The Jefferson family invites friends, loved ones, and church members to gather in celebration of her life and to honor her remarkable journey of service and devotion.
