RALEIGH COUNTY, W.Va. — The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a weekend shooting in the Calloway Heights area, which authorities say appears to be an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the public.
Sheriff Frank Priddy said deputies responded Saturday after receiving a report of a shooting in the residential community. Officials have not released details about potential suspects, injuries, or what may have led to the incident.
Priddy said investigators are continuing to gather information and interview witnesses. He thanked residents for their patience and cooperation, noting that additional updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
The sheriff’s office did not immediately release further details.
