In this episode of Our Communiversity Today, Dr. T. Ramon Stuart welcomes local entrepreneur Tiffany Kapp to the studio. As president of WVU Tech, Dr. Stuart sets the tone by reaffirming the university’s core belief: that the community is the university, and the university is the community.

Tiffany shares her journey from a young professional with a background in HR, payroll, and finance to founding her own company, Compliance, a professional employer organisation that supports small and medium-sized businesses with back-office operations. Her transition into entrepreneurship was a natural outcome of identifying a need and deciding to take ownership of her work. Without investors or large startup capital, Tiffany built her business on hard work, resourcefulness, and a deep commitment to her home state.

The conversation shifts to her latest venture: Tiffany’s on Main, a boutique in the heart of downtown Beckley. More than just a retail store, the boutique is part of a larger vision to reinvigorate the downtown corridor, offering home goods, clothing, accessories, and more.
