West Virginia Turnpike reopened following a tractor-trailer rollover

CHARLESTON, WV – The West Virginia Department of Transportation has received the following communication from officials for the West Virginia Turnpike:

“On 10/7/25, at approximately 10:36 pm, at mile marker 62 NB, a tractor trailer rolled over and involved approximately 12 other cars shutting down the NB lanes, resulting in minimal non-life threatening injuries. The emergency gates were opened to turn traffic around and detour A was activated. All vehicles involved in the crash were removed, except one truck that is out of the roadway, but will be removed later today. Sand was applied to the roadway surface, due to the motor fluids on the roadway surface. All lanes were reopened at 3:23 am, 10/8/25”
