OAK HILL, WV — The Oak Hill Police Department and the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the death of a woman found Tuesday afternoon at a residence on Riner Avenue.
According to police, officers were dispatched to 113½ Riner Avenue at approximately 1:29 p.m. after an ambulance crew responding to a report of an injured woman requested law enforcement assistance. When officers arrived, they located a deceased female inside the home.
Riner Avenue was briefly closed while investigators processed the scene. The woman’s body has been sent to the state medical examiner’s office for autopsy.
Authorities have not released the woman’s identity, and no information has been provided regarding a possible cause of death, suspects, or potential charges. The investigation remains active, and additional details are expected as they become available.
