WVU Extension Seeks Resident Input on New River Gorge Tourism

BECKLEY, W.Va. — West Virginia University Extension is inviting residents of Fayette, Nicholas, Raleigh, and Summers counties to help shape the future of tourism in the New River Gorge region.

Adults age 18 and older can take part in a short, anonymous survey focused on tourism, outdoor recreation, and quality of life. The project is a partnership between WVU Extension, the Fayetteville, New River Gorge, and Visit Southern West Virginia Convention and Visitor Bureaus.

Officials say the feedback will help tourism leaders and community decision‑makers better understand local perspectives and guide future development.

Participants who complete the survey will be entered for a chance to win gift cards to local New River Gorge businesses. The survey is available now through WVU Extension.
