BECKLEY, W.Va. — The Academy of Careers and Technology has been named one of America’s Top Vocational Schools by USA TODAY for the second consecutive year.
The 2026 rankings, released in partnership with global research firm Statista, evaluate vocational institutions nationwide using metrics such as graduation rates, graduate salaries, time required to pay off net costs, social mobility, and diversity. Data for the rankings is drawn from IPEDS and the College Scorecard.
School officials say the repeat national recognition reflects ACT’s continued commitment to hands‑on learning, career readiness, and workforce development.
“This honor is a powerful affirmation of the work happening every day at ACT,” said School Administrator Kevin Bolen. “Our faculty and staff are the foundation of this achievement, and it is their dedication to student growth and workforce preparation that makes this recognition possible.”
ACT partners closely with industry leaders to ensure its programs align with current workforce needs, allowing students to graduate with high‑demand skills and pursue immediate employment opportunities—often without long‑term student debt.
The school says it remains focused on its mission of “Preparing students for their future,” and credits its faculty and staff for advancing that work.
