BECKLEY, W.Va. — A regional donation drive is underway to support families in Upshur and Lewis counties recovering from this week’s devastating flooding. Several local radio stations and community partners — including WWNR, 103CIR, Groovy FM, WTNJ, and Channel 93.5 The Buzz — have teamed up with the Academy of Careers and Technology to collect cleaning and personal‑care supplies for residents impacted by high water.
Donations can be dropped off Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., at the Bradley‑Prosperity Fire Station #1 on Robert C. Byrd Drive in Beckley and the Mullens Fire Department on Early Street in Mullens. The Academy of Careers and Technology is also accepting items Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to noon.

Requested supplies include bleach, disinfectant wipes, buckets, shovels, mops, gloves, masks, soap, deodorant, dental items, and feminine products. Organizers say the donations will be delivered directly to flood‑affected communities as cleanup and recovery continue.
Emergency officials report that floodwaters damaged homes, roads, and utilities across multiple counties earlier this week, prompting ongoing relief efforts and community support drives throughout southern West Virginia.
