Foundation Focuses on Improving Quality of Life in Fayette County

  • Beyond scholarships, the Fayette County Community Foundation continues its mission to strengthen local quality of place, health, and community well‑being. The organization supports nonprofit partners, collaborates with private landowners and government agencies, and works to expand four‑season recreation opportunities across the county.
Community surveys consistently show that residents want more year‑round recreation options — a need the Foundation hopes to help meet as part of its long‑term strategy to address challenges such as poverty, obesity, and substance abuse.
