The West Virginia Junior College School of Healthcare has officially opened its new Beckley campus, expanding access to hands‑on medical training for southern West Virginia. According to the college, the goal is to strengthen the healthcare workforce pipeline and provide local students with direct pathways into high‑demand careers.
The Beckley location is one of 15 WVJC campuses statewide and offers programs in medical assisting, nursing, and allied health fields. “The goal is to strengthen the healthcare workforce pipeline and give local students more direct pathways into high‑demand careers,” CEO Chad Callen said.
Enrollment is now open, and officials say the campus will partner closely with local clinics and hospitals to support workforce needs.
